[09.20.11] Moving database tomorrow! - Posted by Helly

A few things have happened the last week (maybe a few days before that) that have made me rethink of how the server is set up right now... i am not going to explain what happened, but i am letting you know that it's nothing really serious that you have to worry about. Let's call it a precaution...

I am updating all the programs that are running on this server to their newer versions. Today you may have noticed the server was down for about an hour (maybe more) and completely unreachable... well i was updating the webserver to it's latest version. What i am doing tomorrow is installing the latest version of MySQL which is what takes care of the database and all of your precious crap in the game :P.

To do this i will of course have to shut down the version that is running. So the server can't be online at that time, and neither can the website.... however i will put an update site online with a message that i am updating and you can chat while you wait :P. Most of you should know how that goes about now....

so... just letting you know this so you don't freak out tomorrow when you can't go online and when you see the website it's not it's shiny self.....
