Tomorrow i will be replacing the servers harddrives with faster ones. A LOT faster ones.... right now its running on old 120GB WD 7200RPM drives... these are old now and a bit slow... i will be replacing them with my year old WD Raptor 10 000 RPM 150GB drives.. 2 of em.. so this will speed things up as those drives were made to do lots of things at same time which we can use for the size the database is getting....

this will hopefully also take away the delay we have after logging in and CCing.... but maybe just for a while....

i will also take this chance to upgrade from windows 2003 server to 2008 :). which ran a lot better before. so hopefully we have some good times ahead :D.

btw the quest system is also almost done.. shouldn't be more then a week before i add that as well ;).

The website will remain up during the upgrade..... although the database is located on the server so you wont be able to login... i will change the site so you can all access the chat link... so you can stay updated with how the upgrade is going...

i hope you all read this so i dont get to say "im upgrading the server" 500 times tomorrow... it gets old after a few times....

ps. the database for the forums has been moved to another PC.... so the forums will remain up and available ;)
